More Is Not Always Better

We have a tendency to clutter our lives with things that don’t matter or support who we are and who we are becoming.

We choose to live with more because we are taught that more is better.  We fill up our space, out schedules, our lives without really thinking about how it’s impacting us along the way.

The problem is all this clutter affects us emotionally, psychologically, and physically.

Everything that fills our environment affects our energy and our mood, and, if we’re not careful, before we know it, we’re living in a home that no longer reflects what’s truly important to us.

While I don’t think the answer is to give everything up and live in a shack, I do think that when we purge the stuff in our environment that weighs us down, we are not only left with what’s important to us, we have more time and energy to enjoy those things.

We have the ability to enhance our quality of life and that can start with decluttering one small space, one junk drawer or one pile of papers.  Or start even smaller; remove one knick knack, one book, one picture, etc…

Take a step right now to clear away the stuff that brings you down.

Moms, if you want to create an energy shift and start shedding the stuff that makes you feel like you’re on overload, join my private FB group Starting Strong, Staying Strong.  This Fall I’ll be talking about different ways to detox your environment.

I’ll also be doing a 3 Day Closet Detox Challenge in the group Oct 6th-8th.  Please join us! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1160719954311678
